From The Founders
Dear Military Spouses and Employers,
We’re so glad you’re here.
We created MissionHire because we believe military spouses deserve more than appreciation—they deserve opportunity.
I’m Courtney Brown, and I come from a lineage of service that shaped every part of my life. My father is a proud Vietnam veteran who served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force—first as an enlisted airman, then later earning his commission as an officer. My mother stood beside him through it all, a devoted military spouse who anchored our family through every PCS, deployment, and uncertainty.
Service runs deep in our family.
My brother and sister both served in the U.S. Navy, continuing that proud tradition. And my husband, Greg, is a Naval Academy graduate who spent nearly a decade at sea aboard ships like the USS Thunderbolt and USS Bataan.
We welcomed our first daughter while stationed in Bahrain, and I quickly learned how challenging it can be to build a career as a military spouse—far from home, navigating motherhood, and trying to find flexible, meaningful work. It’s a reality many spouses face: ambition without access, and talent without opportunity.
Since leaving the Navy, Greg has built a career in talent, helping companies find and grow top performers—while seeing firsthand how often military spouses are overlooked, despite the value they bring.
And me? I’ve lived it.
I’ve lived the relocations, the resume gaps, the late-night job searches, the “sorry, we need someone local” messages. That experience lit a fire in both of us to create something different—something better.
MissionHire is our solution.
A platform that connects military spouses with remote, flexible, meaningful work, while offering employers access to mission-ready talent who bring grit, loyalty, and agility to the table.
We’re not just building a staffing company.
We’re creating a movement—where spouses are seen, supported, and hired. Where training and job access are aligned. And where every opportunity leads to growth, not a dead end.
We are deeply committed to this community—not just to those who’ve worn the uniform, but to those who’ve stood beside them, moved for them, raised families for them, and sacrificed in quiet, powerful ways.
Whether you’re a spouse ready for your next chapter or an employer ready to hire better, we’re here to make the connection—and change the game.
With gratitude,
Courtney & Greg Brown
